Inktober is an annual challenge each October where artists set out to make art every day of the month, inspired by a daily prompt. It started off as an ink challenge but now artists everywhere participate regardless of their medium. It’s a way to jumpstart a regular art practice and create in community with people all over the world. I participated in my first Inktober back in 2020 and my only goal was to stick to keep up with drawing each day. This time around, I wanted to challenge myself to choose one medium and one consistent format in order to create a more cohesive collection. I decided to use Posca paint pens and I chose a format that allowed me to play with hand lettering a bit as well. I also decided to follow a different variation of the challenge, Peachtober, created by artist Sha’an d’Anthes (@furrylittlepeach).
